Tribute to a fallen classmate

I found out this weekend at my 10-year college reunion that Steve Kowalczyk, a former classmate of mine, died fighting in Iraq a couple of months ago. Click here for the Washington Post tribute. Steve lived life to the fullest when he was at Macalester. I still remember my roommate and I waking up to the sound of "Rock the Casbah" coming down the pipe from his dorm room into our room (for some reason the boy sure loved that damn song!) almost every weekend!! I hope that Steve is sitting at a bar someplace in heaven having a cold brew, smoking some fine weed, and listening to "Rock the Casbah." RIP.
