Stripped bare and looking for an adventure

Just when you think life can't throw you any more surprises, along comes a tsunami that strips you bare. You either pick up a surfboard or wait to be engulfed. Speaking of big waves and surfboards, friends have sent me job posts for gigs in the Solomon Islands (again!) and Lesotho. I've been feverishly working on the Solomon Islands application. The thought of working in a challenging environment in the South Pacific is really appealing to me. I need an adventure that pushes me to the edge of my limits and opens me to new experiences. Lesotho is tempting but the Basotho could give the Italians a run for their money when it comes to drama!

My next mini-adventure will soon be McNally & Schultz Roadtrip Episode III: Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Arizona! Hopefully my truck (unlike Old Blue, my long deceased van) will prove to be a worthy vehicle and not break down next to a remote porn store where you can purchase a gallon of milk, some lube, and "Debbie Does Dallas" all in one shopping trip (see Roadtrip Episode II)!!!
